DROP US A LINE
Our farm ethos is to think local, buy local, and try and maximise the land we're lucky enough to be based on.
We try and live a slower pace of life in the country, but that doesn't mean we are less busy. We grow our own veg and fruit, keep chickens, lambs and pigs to produce our own organic meat - we like to trace where our food comes from, and even better if we can say we work in food metres, not food miles.
We dream of building a sustainable future and the cabins have been developed to take a step back to a time before wi-fi. We're always looking into green technologies for other energy used on the farm, and our dream is to be entirely off-grid.
We take recycling seriously and ask guests to help us to reduce and recycle the waste we all use. We aim to minimise the use of single-use plastic where possible.
We buy our livestock locally, and always look to support local tradespeople whether it's buying canvas from a teepee maker based in Cornwall, and working with local carpenters. All our firewood comes from a local tree surgeon or from the farm.
We're not a manicured farm, we don't go heavy on the weedkiller and love to enjoy the local wildlife that this brings. We'd love you to come and visit us and our beautiful area.
Just five tent cabins share an eight acre field. Each cabin sleeps six with a double bedroom, bunk room with two single beds and a double bed tucked away in a cupboard. Each cabin has cold running water and a proper flushing loo. Two cabins, Hartland and Duckpool, have a shower room with hot showers, while there is also a shower block in the farmyard.
Fully equipped with everything you need from pots and pans, bottle opener, washing up liquid, coffee maker and tea pot. The cabins come with bed linen ready to make up the beds, and are complete with a kitchen pack of hand-wash, washing up liquid, tea towel and dishcloth.
This is a back to the best things in life basics environment, so you won't find wifi but you will find a coffee grinder, you'll find electric lighting in the kitchen and main bedroom, but your stay will be lit by the light of paraffin lamps and candles. You have a mini fridge as well as a cooler box.
Outside each cabin you'll find a barbecue and a fire pit, plus a table and chairs so you can decide whether to eat inside or out in the great outdoors. Click on a cabin below to read more and choose your perfect stay.
