Berridon Farm is a farm escape based in North Devon close to some amazing beaches and situated in the heart of nature. Welcoming guests globally, we invite you to explore the outdoors while enjoying our beautifully equipped cabins and slowing down....
We temporarily closed in March and intend to re-open again as soon as the Government notifies us that it is safe to do so. Currently that looks like early July. While the situation is changing all the time, here are our recommendations based on what we currently know from the latest Government announcements. Don't worry if the Government decides not to allow us to open we'll move your booking or give a refund.
Our cabins are well spaced and there is plenty of room and fresh air to allow for social distancing.
The safety and wellbeing of our guests is our primary concern. During this period we will be taking extra measures in order to keep you safe during your stay and ensure that you can relax and get the nature break you need. We have signed up to the Canopy and Stars ‘Clean and Safe’ charter which means that when we are allowed to open we will be implementing the following;
Follow government cleaning advice for non-healthcare environments .
This means that in all of our spaces highly touched, hard surfaces will be cleaned then disinfected with cleaning products that kill 99.999% of viruses and bacteria to BSEN1276 standards, as used in health care settings. Our linen is washed at a commercial laundry which uses the hottest settings, guests will also be offered the chance to bring their own linen. Check out will be slightly earlier at 9.30am and a slight delay in check-in to 5pm to enable government guidelines to be followed.
We will be sending you an App to download with all the information that you need for self check-in. Guests can stay without coming into contact with the owner although we will be around the farm if you want to say hello or have any questions and will be on hand to give a safety briefing on using the log burners. All enclosed group spaces will be closed until government guidelines change.
Services such as bread ordering, the pantry, breakfasts and hot tubs will be temporarily unavailable until government guidelines change.
All spaces will be stocked with necessary disinfectant, cleaning supplies, hand sanitisers and soap. Where possible, other measures to reduce risks will be taken. For example, highly touched items such as guest books will be removed and information will be provided digitally instead.
Every cabin has its own flushing loo. Hartland and Duckpool both have an attached shower. Welcombe, Spekes and Northcott will each have a designated shower for their private use in the shower block. The showers will be cleaned thoroughly daily and additional cleaning materials will be available.
